Effective September 8, 2026. This Privacy Policy explains how Blu Petroleum collects, uses, discloses, and protects information associated with the Blu Petroleum Customer Portal and its transactional text messaging program.
Information We Collect
We may collect identifiers and contact details such as your name, company, email address, mailing or service address, customer or account number, and telephone number. We may also collect portal account information, authorized company and ship-to relationships, order and delivery details, invoice and payment-status information, support requests, communications, SMS consent records, device and browser information, IP address, and security and audit records.
How We Collect Information
We collect information that you submit through the portal, registration and support forms, and account settings; information created through your account activity; information supplied by your company or authorized administrators; and technical information collected when you access the portal. SMS consent is collected through a separate, optional checkbox and is not inferred merely because you provide a telephone number.
How We Use Information
We use information to review access requests, authenticate users, provide and secure customer self-service features, process and communicate about orders and deliveries, display invoices and payment status, respond to support requests, send communications you have requested, maintain consent and audit records, prevent misuse, comply with legal obligations, and improve our services.
How We Disclose Information
We may disclose information to service providers that process data on our behalf, including hosting, authentication, security, customer support, communications, and SMS delivery providers such as Twilio. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate protections. Service providers may use information only to provide services to Blu Petroleum and not for their own marketing purposes.
Mobile Information and SMS Consent
We do not sell or share mobile telephone numbers, SMS opt-in data, or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be shared with service providers solely as necessary to deliver Blu Petroleum messages and operate the messaging program. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties for their marketing purposes.
Transactional Text Messages
If you separately opt in, Blu Petroleum may send recurring transactional messages about your account, orders, deliveries, invoices, payments, and support requests. Message frequency varies according to account activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase or portal access.
Your Choices
You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of applicable personal information, subject to legal, security, and recordkeeping requirements. Opting out of SMS does not prevent Blu Petroleum from sending necessary communications through other channels.
Retention and Security
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the portal and customer services, maintain business and consent records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no electronic system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our services or legal obligations change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated through the portal or another appropriate channel when required.
